Arjen is a consultant with 17 years of experience in Sustainable Mobility, especially in the field of public transport. He has a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and has executed many sustainable mobility projects in Europe, Asia, and Africa. Arjen is the managing director of Balancia. As an experienced project manager, he carries out projects within three of the four services of Balancia: Decarbonisation of Urban Mobility, Public Transport Studies and Public Transport Tenders. Arjen is also account manager for European accounts and is responsible for the social media of Balancia. Arjen lives in Amsterdam.

Urban Transport Consultant – fadiah.achmadi@balancia.com

Fadiah is a passionate consultant with a background in transport planning, specializing in public transport planning in urban areas. She holds a Master’s degree in Transport, Infrastructure & Logistics. Fadiah has six years working experience, during which she worked for two engineering consulting agencies and two universities in Indonesia. She works for Balancia since January 2010. Fadiah is account manager of Asian and Middle East accounts, and carries out projects within all four services of Balancia. Fadiah's expertise is in Non-Motorised Transport Studies, and often she operates as process manager in the different projects carried out by Balancia. Fadiah lives in Rijswijk.

Financial Consultant – petra.van.den.boorn@balancia.com

Petra is a financial consultant with over 20 years of experience in financial controlling, financial auditing and internal auditing. She works as an associated consultant for Balancia since 2012. Petra has certifications as RA (Registeraccountant), RC (Registercontroller), as well as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor).  She is very experienced in conducting strategic analyses and has a hands-on mentality regarding composing business models for Public Transport Tenders. Petra lives in Amsterdam.

Public Transport Consultant – rana.imam@balancia.com

Rana is a broad-minded consultant with extensive working and research experience in Traffic Engineering and Transportation Planning in both Europe and Middle East. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and a PhD in Transport Studies from University College London (UCL). Rana joined Balancia as an associated consultant in 2008, where she focuses on the Public Transport Study and Public Transport Tender services of Balancia. Rana is Balancia’s contact person on site for Middle East accounts. Since 2012, she has been employed by the University of Jordan as Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering. Her teaching and research are focused on Traffic Engineering, Transit Planning, and Road Safety. Rana lives in Amman, the capital of Jordan.

Urban Transport Consultant – pratik.dave@balancia.com

Pratik is an urban transport consultant associated with Balancia since 2012. He holds a Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering. Pratik works in India for the ITDP-UMTS as advisor to municipal corporations on urban transportation projects. Pratik is Balancia’s contact person on site for Asian accounts. For Balancia, he carries out projects primarily related to the Public Transport Study and Non-Motorised Study services of Balancia. He has been involved in various kinds of urban transport projects related to BRT, NMT and Travel Demand Management. In the period 2007-2010, he was involved in the Ahmedabad Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) System Project, which was India’s first successful BRT project awarded with an international award for sustainable urban transport. Pratik lives in Ahmedabad.
