E-bike is on its way!

Recently advertisements of electric bikes have been broadcasted in many media. If we go to bicycle shops, we can also see that the price of electric bikes is relatively decreasing during the time. This of course has something to do with the fact that electric bikes are becoming more and more popular. In Europe, much attention is paid by EU in promoting the use of electric bikes. Under the Intelligent Energy programme, many projects and researches are funded. We can mention many projects such as Go Pedelec!, Presto (Promoting Cycling for Everyone as a Daily Transport Mode), and AENEAS (Attaining Energy Efficient Mobility in an Ageing Society). Balancia believes that the electric bike is a new possibility for sustainable transport and it will become a common transport mode in the near future.
