Balancia was registered as a consultancy in the field of traffic and transport on January 2nd 2006 at the Chamber of Commerce in Harderwijk. Later that year the company moved to Amsterdam and in 2008 turned into Balancia Netherlands BV, a subsidiary of Balancia Holding BV.

In 2008, the company got a new logo, a new website and the scope of the company was changed to "Consultants in Sustainable Mobility". Since 2012 we focus even more on public transport!
