In many countries, the growth of car and truck traffic has led to an enormous increase of mobility and economic growth. The dark side however is an increasing death toll on the roads. Thus, implementing road safety measures is a must in order to reduce the number of road casualties.

In the road safety area, Balancia is eager to assist you in defining a national, regional or local policy aimed at improving road safety level (e.g. policy aimed at seatbelt use, maximum speed limits and speed-limiting devices). In developing road safety policies, we never ignore the safety of vulnerable road users (cyclists and pedestrians), that are sometimes forgotten, when road safety measures are introduced. We take the safety of these vulnerable road users into account by, for example, designing pedestrian bridges to separate the pedestrian from the motorized traffic.
